Consultation has concluded

The Morley Activity Centre has been highlighted as a key strategic centre by the State Government and a top priority for the City of Bayswater to develop Morley into an attractive, vibrant and well connected centre to live, work and play. This means that significant new commercial and residential development will be concentrated around the Morley Activity Centre as the population of Perth continues to grow.

The City of Bayswater is proposing modifications to the Morley Activity Centre Structure Plan (MACSP) which was adopted by Council in April 2015 to guide development in the Morley Activity Centre.

An overview of the proposed changes is outlined on the information sheet.

The proposed modifications are as follows (click on the link for an extract of the relevant section of the Structure Plan):

  1. Modifications to Part 1 'Statutory Planning Provisions';
  2. Updated Part 4 'Movement Section'; and
  3. Road widenings including Russell Street, Walter Road West and Collier Road, and various intersection improvements.
