What is the Strategic Community Plan?

The Strategic Community Plan is one of the most important projects for local government, as it will set the direction of all our services during the next decade and beyond.

Why are we doing the Strategic Community Plan?

As part of the Western Australian Government's ongoing local government reform program, all WA Council's are required to prepare and implement an Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework by 30 June 2013. The primary component of this framework is the Strategic Community Plan, which must cover a period of 10 years.
