Playground Replacement Program

Consultation has concluded

Every three years the City commissions an independent audit of its playgrounds to update and review a 15 year playground asset replacement plan. The audit advises if playgrounds meet the required Australian Standards and provides a schedule of recommended playground upgrades and replacements based on age, condition and compliance to current standards.

The City provides over 110 playgrounds across the City of Bayswater with the majority catering for the local community living within 400m of the reserve. Local playgrounds are traditionally small play areas with natural shade, sand or mulch soft fall and play elements. These vary between natural elements i.e. logs and rocks or more traditional play i.e. swings and slides or a variety of both.

The City currently has playgrounds scheduled for replacement within the 2018/19 financial year including Bohemia Park, Bramwell Reserve, Chesney Reserve, Luderman Park and Shadwell Reserve. To view these playgrounds and provide your feedback visit their project pages under the HAVE YOUR SAY section.
