    Engagement Update

The City received 18 completed surveys during the final stage of community consultation in relation to the Shadwell Reserve playground replacement. The information collected from the community engagement process then assisted the City to develop a final concept design based on a mixture style of play equipment.

The below table identifies the outcome from the 18 survey completed during the final stage of community consultation.

The community also requested that the following options be considered within the overall concept design:

    • Equipment to be suitable for children aged between 0 - 12 years

    • Swing, Climb and Slide are the community's top three preferred style of activities

    • Would like to see additional benches near the playground and monkey bars

    • Prefer sand softfall compared to mulch

Based on the community's feedback, the final design has been developed and is available by clicking here.

Please note that it is anticipated that Shadwell Reserve playground will be installed between January-March 2019.
