Chesney Reserve - Playground Replacement Program

Consultation has concluded

On 5 October 2018 the City began the final stage of community consultation to replace the playground equipment at Chesney Reserve, 9 Chesney Street, Morley. The information collected from the community engagement assisted the City to develop a final concept design based on a mixture style of playground.

Thank you to all participants who completed a survey. The City values your input to help us make an informed decision based on community preference. It is anticipated that Chesney Reserve playground will be installed between January-March 2019.

    Engagement Update

    The City received 9 completed surveys during the final stage of community consultation in relation to the Chesney Reserve playground replacement. The information collected from the community engagement process then assisted the City to develop a final concept design based on a mixture style of play equipment.

    The community also requested that the following options be considered within the overall concept design:

    • Equipment to be suitable for children aged between 0 - 12 years

    • Swing, Climb and Slide are the community's top three preferred style of activities

    • Would like to see additional benches near the playground

    • Prefer sand soft fall compared to mulch

    Please note that it is anticipated that Chesney Reserve playground will be installed between January-March 2019.
