Background
The Platform (2019-2023) was the City's first Youth Action Plan. Through the process of developing The Platform the City consulted with young people aged 12-25 years and identified three key themes being Education and Employment, Health and Wellbeing, and Community Connection.
The Platform worked to address those themes and amplified the voices of young people in the City of Bayswater by introducing youth-focused events, initiatives and programs that aligned with what was heard.
To develop the framework and direction for the next five years we are seeking input from our young people who live, work and study in the City and their parents/caregivers - to understand what is important to them and for them. We will also be engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and with local schools.
How to get involved
From 10 November 2023 until 29 February 2024 City staff will work with alongside members of the City of Bayswater Youth Advisory Council to undertake community engagement.
Hardcopy surveys will be available at City Libraries and the Civic Centre.
What's Next
The information gathered during this process will provide a framework and direction for the next five years.
