Description:
A local planning policy was adopted that included development provisions in relation to trees on private property and the street verge .
The City of Bayswater's Town Planning Scheme No. 24 was also amended in relation to trees on private property and the street verge .
Current project status:
Council resolved to adopt the local planning policy and recommend to the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) and the Minister for Planning at their Planning and Development Services Committee Meeting dated 12 June 2018 to approve the scheme amendment - Item 9.5: https://www.bayswater.wa.gov.au/city-and-council/council/council-meetings/agendas-and-minutes/2018/june/planning-and-development-services-meeting-minutes-
The scheme amendment was subsequently approved by the WAPC and has now been gazetted (see documents section).
