Consultation has concluded

Council at its Planning and Development Services meeting held 18 July 2017 adopted proposed road names for public advertising.

The four new roads will be created as a result of the redevelopment of No. 2- 4 Railway Parade, Bayswater, the former "CSBP" site, now known as the Tonkin Park Industrial Estate. A location plan is available here.

The following proposed new road names are:

(a) Wick Street
(b) Nexus Way
(c) Radius Loop
(d) Focal Way

A plan detailing where each road name is proposed to be used is contained here.

The proposed road names are based on a "Centrality" theme, as explained by the developer below:

"The Centrality theme is based on the fact that the Tonkin Highway Industrial Estate is one of the best located and central industrial estates in the metro area. Being located only 8km from the CBD, great access to major road network, especially Tonkin Highway and public transport options, it presents an exciting, viable, sustainable and practical industrial solution for businesses. We believe the Centrality theme focuses on one of the key elements on what will make this a premier industrial estate and generally highlights the benefit of being located within the City of Bayswater."

The Geographic Names Committee (GNC) at Landgate is responsible for final approval of all road naming.

Written comments may be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Bayswater, PO Box 467, Morley, WA 6943 or via email to mail@bayswater.wa.gov.au no later than 4:30pm, Wednesday 30 August 2017.

Queries on the proposed road names can be discussed with Tania O'Brien on 9272 0649.
