Consultation has concluded

All local governments in Western Australia are required to maintain a set of Local Emergency Management Arrangements (LEMA). These arrangements detail the hazards and risks the community could experience and the priorities and strategies to reduce these risks. The LEMA also includes emergency plans that address response, welfare and recovery arrangements that apply within the City, however these are not subject to review at this point in time.

The City is currently reviewing and updating the LEMA to ensure it is current, contemporary and in line with State Emergency Guidelines. The review will be conducted in consultation with members of the City’s Local Emergency Management Committee including representatives of DFES, DCPFS (Child Protection and Family Support) and WA Police.

The City has prepared a draft LEMA, having considered state government guidelines. We are now seeking feedback and comments on the draft plan.
