City of Bayswater Foreshore Restoration Design Projects
BACKGROUND
As part of its 10-Year Foreshore Plan, the City in collaboration with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions via the Riverbank Funding Program is developing foreshore restoration designs for three of its premier locations to improve the effective management of the foreshore and ensure this area remains a highly valued asset to the community into the future.
- Riverside Gardens and Hinds Reserve, Bayswater
- Tranby Reserve and Bath Street Reserve, Maylands
- Bardon Park, Maylands
CONSULTATION
Building on community and stakeholder feedback during Stage 1 of the consultation (August 2024 - View the Outcomes Report), the project team has prepared a draft Foreshore Concept Plan for each area. These identify foreshore restoration initiatives for each location to be implemented over the next 5–10 years as funding becomes available. To see how the designs have responded to site analysis and Stage 1 engagement, click on the following locations:
In addition, draft Site Master Plans have been developed that consider both the foreshore restoration initiatives together with the broader areas.
