Will the site be closed during these works?

Yes, the site will be closed while works are being undertaken.

Is there a current safety risk to the public from compromised trees?

This site will be closed while works take place as some fallen trees could present a hazard. Following the removal of fallen trees, remaining trees at the site will be reassessed for safety.

Will the City inform the public which trees have been compromised?

The City will remove any trees that have fallen over. Following these works, the City will reassess the remaining trees for safety and inform the community of the outcome of the assessment via this page.

What species will be planted once fallen trees are removed?

The City will endeavour to retain as many trees as possible at this site. The City will then plant native trees at the site to promote biodiversity including Marri, Swamp Gum and Paperbark.

    When will you be replanting?

This site forms part of the City's Riverside Gardens Urban Forest project. Planting is expected to occur at this location during winter 2027.
