Project Details

The City undertook preliminary community engagement via online and hard copy surveys, and four workshops. The new Economic Development Strategy will aim to support our diverse range of local businesses and to be responsive to changes as they arise. Your feedback has helped us identify priorities and your participation was much appreciated. The engagement outcomes report can be found here.

A draft Economic Development Strategy has been prepared with input from business and community engagement. It was presented to Council at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 26 August 2025.

Council:

• approved the draft Economic Development Strategy to be advertised for community comment, with minor amendments, and
• noted that the draft Economic Development Strategy will be referred to Council for further consideration following the community comment period.

The Economic Development Strategy will align with the City's Corporate Business Plan and Strategic Community Plan.
