Clarkson Reserve Features of the design – • Natural shade – re-positioning of play area to take advantage of the natural shade provide by surrounding trees • Try-climber – multi-feature play element offering upper and lower body challenges, climbing, balancing, sliding; and also providing a cosy cubby space underneath • Sand pit – separated from the adjacent active elements by a border of jarrah logs and granite boulders, filled with river quartz which offers more diverse sand play opportunities • Journey trail – the block wall, log bridge, granite boulders, jarrah log, sleepers and steppers invite exploration and provide opportunities for developing core strength, balance and coordination • Basket swing – for individual or shared swinging experiences with mulch fall zone • Proposed trees – to increase the natural shade surrounding the play space • Adult amenity – additional formal and informal seating and perching places to support the comfort of accompanying adults
