Charlwood Reserve Play Space Renewal

BACKGROUND

Charlwood Reserve in Morley is a well-loved local park that provides valuable recreation and play opportunities for the local community.

The existing playground is approaching the end of its service life, and the City is planning ahead for its future renewal. Through this early engagement process, we are seeking community feedback to help shape the future play space.

Subject to future budget approvals, the renewal will focus on the existing playground area.

WHAT'S HAPPENING?

We're planning the future of play at Charlwood Reserve.

The renewed playground will introduce new play opportunities within the existing play space, informed by community feedback. Potential features may include swings, climbing elements and other play experiences that reflect local needs and preferences.

The renewal will focus on this play space only.

The site has limited natural shade. As part of the renewal, shade sails over the play equipment are proposed to provide sun protection for park users.

We want to hear from you.

Your feedback will help us understand:

  • The ages of playground users
  • How far you travel to the park
  • The types of play experiences and equipment you value
