What is Happening?

The City of Bayswater is seeking to engage with the community and key stakeholders to inform an urban design assessment in the Bedford North area, which will provide recommendations for changes to land use and development requirements in the future.

Why is this happening?

The Bedford North area has changed considerably in the last 20 to 30 years, with infill development occurring on both residential and commercial land.

In 2018, the City undertook a community engagement process called Building Bayswater, which provided the community with the opportunity to share thoughts, ideas and expectations on how the City should respond to the challenges and opportunities of new development within the City of Bayswater.

Building Bayswater and other studies undertaken by the City and State Government identify the Bedford North area as being appropriate for additional residential and mixed use development.

How can I get involved?

You can get involved by attending a community workshop at the City of Bayswater Civic Centre, 61 Broun Avenue, Morley on:
