Access and Inclusion Plan 2025-2030

August 2025 Project Update
At the July Ordinary Council Meeting, Council endorsed the City's new five-year Access and Inclusion Plan. Inclusive Bayswater: Access and Inclusion Plan 2025-2030. (OCM 1 July 2025, from p.270)
Inclusive Bayswater focuses on seven legislated outcome areas that aim to ensure people with disability have the same opportunities as others to access services, buildings, information, quality service, complaint processes, public consultation and employment within the City.
We encourage you to read Inclusive Bayswater. This document was created with input from people of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities and their families and carers, members of our culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, and people who identify as LGBTQIA+. and sets a clear direction to improve access, inclusion and equity across the City over the next five years.
Project Background
The City of Bayswater is committed to improving access to services, facilities and information for all its residents, and is developing a new Access and Inclusion Plan to guide its approach to access and inclusion over the next five years.
Informed by community feedback, the draft Plan proposes strategies to address barriers people face participating in the community.
Engagement
A round of initial consultation took place between November 2024 and March 2025. Read the summary outcomes report to see what we heard and who we heard from.
In the second round of engagement we asked the community to let us know their thoughts on the draft Access and Inclusion Plan 2025-2030 via an online survey or by taking the survey over the phone.
