Gordon Reserve - Playground Replacement Program

Consultation has concluded

On 13 November 2017 the City began the community consultation process to replace the playground equipment at Gordon Reserve, 3 Gordon Street Bayswater. The information collected from the community engagement stages then assisted the City of Bayswater to develop a final concept design based on a mixture style of play equipment.

Thank you to all participants who completed a survey before the closing date of 13 December 2017. The City values your input and it is anticipated that construction for Gordon Reserve playgrounds will commence March 2018 and concluded by June 2018.

  • Gordon Reserve - Final Concept Design

    ENGAGEMENT UPDATE

    The information collected from the community engagement stages has assisted the City of Bayswater to develop a final concept design based on a mixture style of play equipment.

    The below table identifies the outcome from the 9 surveys completed before the closing date of 13 December 2017.

    The community requested that the following options are considered within the overall concept design;

    - Swing, Climb and Slide are the community's top three preferred style of activities

    - The community advised that they prefer sand soft fall compared to mulch.

    Based on the community's feedback the final design has been developed and available here

    Please note that work to replace the playground equipment at Gordon Reserve is scheduled to commence April 2018 to be completed by June 2018.
