Park Improvements - Greening our City

Background

The City is doing park improvements as part of our efforts to green our City. The upgrades will involve planting trees,
eco-zoning under-utilised turf areas, and adding replacement seating or parking areas as required.

Eco-zoned areas will include native gardens planted with low maintenance, water-wise plants.

This will save a considerable amount of water as these areas are designed to become self-sufficient, requiring little to no water once established.
In addition to conserving water, eco-zoning increases biodiversity, provides food and habitat for wildlife, and builds our climate change resilience.

Parks

The City is planning on improving 2 parks in the 2023-24 financial year, as part of our annual Park Redevelopment Program. Information and schedules for these parks are coming soon.
