TPS 24 - Amendment 65 - Character Protection Areas
The City of Bayswater has initiated scheme amendment 65 to Town Planning Scheme No.24 and is inviting comments from the community during the public advertising period commencing Tuesday 1 March 2016 and concluding Monday 2 May 2016.

Issue for Comment: The purpose of the scheme amendment is to amend the existing Character Protection Area (CPA) boundaries on the scheme map to reflect the new CPA boundaries as adopted by Council. Additionally the scheme amendment proposes to prohibit the development of multiple dwellings with the CPAs.

The proposed scheme amendment includes the following changes:

The proposed scheme amendment includes the following changes:

1. Modify the Scheme Maps as detailed in the maps below to reflect the new Character Protection Areas boundaries, as included in TP-P2.18 - 'Character Protection Areas - Maylands North, Mount Lawley and Bayswater'.


2. Insert a new clause - 8.5.5.3 "Multiple Dwellings are not permitted on land within the Character Protection Areas".

Information Opportunities The scheme amendment documents can be inspected between 8:30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday up to and including Friday 29 April 2016 at the City of Bayswater Civic Centre, 61 Broun Avenue, Morley, and the City's Public Libraries.
