The Sustainability in Design Policy is intended to provide guidance on sustainable design for new development to make the City of Bayswater a more climate change resilient and liveable City.
The proposal was considered by Council at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 24 May 2022; Council voted to unanimously in favour. Council also resolved to write to the Minister for Commerce suggesting sustainability and design principles (including ‘cool fences’) be incorporated into the Dividing Fence Act.
