Background

The City of Bayswater hereby gives notice that Council, at its Ordinary Council Meeting on 22 February 2022, adopted for public advertising the Significant Tree Register and Associated Guidelines.

The Significant Tree Register and Associated Guidelines are intended to outline information, requirements and guidance in relation to including or removing a tree from the City of Bayswater Significant Tree Register on private land; and removing, destructing, interfering and/or maintaining a tree on the City of Bayswater Significant Tree Register for Private Land.

Outcome

The proposal was considered by Council at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 23 August 2022; whereby Council voted in favour of adopting the policy, subject to modifications. You can read the minutes here (Item 10.6.2.4).

Council also resolved to undertake an assessment of the effectiveness of the policy in 24 months time in relation to the policy's intent.
