Robert Thompson Park Play Space Upgrade

BACKGROUND

Robert Thompson Reserve is a Neighborhood Park located in Noranda. Based on the asset life and condition of the existing play equipment, it is scheduled to be renewed in the coming years. The City aims to transform the area into a space that is accessible and inclusive, catering to children of different ages.

Your feedback will help us understand the type and range of equipment desired – swing, climb, slide etc. and also a targeted age range to cater towards.

HOW WILL THE PLAY SPACE BE RENEWED?

  1. Play Space Enhancement:

    • New Equipment: The existing play equipment will be replaced with new, modern equipment designed to better serve a range of ages and abilities.
    • It is proposed the existing shade sail will remain.
    • Rubber soft fall or similar materials will be provided as part of this project.
  2. Landscape Improvements:

    • Opportunity to comment on any additional features or improvements to consider within the park.
  3. Concept Plan:

    • The play space site plan provides a visual representation of the play space location.
    • Concept plans illustrating the proposed upgrades and layout, will be available for feedback in Stage 2 of the community engagement.
