Proposed Naming of Reserve 33533 ('Maxwell Reserve') to Pittaway Park
Background
The City is considering formally naming Reserve 33533, informally known as 'Maxwell Reserve'. Given the reserve is informally named, the City has the opportunity to commemorate an individual by formally naming the reserve.
At the September 2024 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council endorsed for public advertising the proposed name 'Pittaway Park' for Reserve 33533, in commemoration of Graham Pittaway.
Graham Pittaway
Graham Pittaway was a longstanding member of the Bayswater community who was part of a range of local committees and community groups. Graham's contributions earned him a medal of Order of Australia. Graham passed away in January 2022. A full list of Graham's achievements and accolades can be found in the FAQs section.
