Proposed Closure of Pedestrian Accessway between Rowe Place and Bramwell Road, Noranda

The City is seeking input from the community on the proposed closure of Pedestrian Accessway (PAW) between Rowe Place and Bramwell Road, Noranda.

Background

The City has received a request to closure the PAW due to concerns raised by the residents including issues people causing early morning disruptions along the PAW and people attempting to look into vehicles parked along the street. The proposed closure of the PAW may assist in addressing these ongoing issues.

The City will assess any submissions received and will present a report to Council to consider the closure request.

How to get involved

The City asks residents to provide feedback on the proposed closure in the following ways:

City officers reviewed and assessed all submissions received during the consultation period.

A report was put Council to consider at the 27 February 2024 Ordinary Council Meeting, where Council resolved not to proceed with the closure. You can read the report (page 142) here.
