From March, food scraps and garden waste should go in the lime-green lid bin, instead of the red lid general waste bin. The red lid general waste bin will be collected fortnightly, and the FOGO bin weekly. The yellow lid recycling bin stays the same - the fortnightly collection and contents won't change. All three bin sizes will stay the same.

Before the start date, residents will receive a small kitchen bin (caddy) for food scraps, and a year's supply of compostable caddy liners.

If you already have a lime-green lidded garden organics bin you will be included in the rollout. This includes houses, villas, businesses, government housing, community groups and sporting clubs.

A successful FOGO system means everyone takes part, including making sure that no plastic, glass or nappies go in the FOGO bin.

Adjusting to FOGO is a change we will adapt to together. The City is committed to supporting residents through education, progress updates, and quickly responding to feedback. Visit our FOGO webpage for more information.
