Overview
The City of Bayswater is seeking expressions of interest to join the Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Committee to provide advice and recommendations to Council in relation to:
- the development and implementation of the City’s Access and Inclusion Plan (AIP); and
- promoting equality and equal opportunity for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people who identify as LGBTIQA+. accessing and utilising the City’s services and programs.
Terms of Reference
The Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Committee Terms of Reference outline the membership, role of representatives, delegated authority, meeting frequency and location of the meetings.
Nominations
The City of Bayswater are are seeking a maximum of six (6) community members who satisfy one or more of the following criteria:
- Two members who:
- Reside in the City and live with a disability and/or are a parent, carer, advocate of a person with a disability; or
- Reside in or is a service provider/ organisation within the City of Bayswater and are able to contribute expertise or advice on disability.
- Two members who:
- Reside in the City and who identify as LGBTQI+; or
- Reside in or is a service provider/organisation within the City of Bayswater and are able to contribute expertise or advice on matters relating to LGBTQI+.
- Two members who:
- Reside in the City and who identifies as being from a culturally and linguistically diverse background; or
- Reside in or is a service provider/ organisation within the City of Bayswater and are able to contribute expertise or advice on matters relating to culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
How to nominate
If you are interested in participating in the Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Committee, please complete the nomination form below.
To submit a nomination, you need to:
- Complete and submit the Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Committee Expression of Interest Nomination survey; and
- Have read and agreed to the Terms of Reference (see document library)
