Metropolitan Central Joint Development Assessment Panel Application - Morley Galleria Shopping Centre Redevelopment

Consultation has concluded

The City of Bayswater has received a Joint Development Assessment Panel application for the redevelopment of the Morley Galleria Shopping Centre. The application includes an increase to the maximum permitted retail floor area specified within Town Planning Scheme No.23. The application is proposing to increase the maximum net lettable area from 73,365m² to 179,415m² (Primary Development) and 260,000m² (Ultimate Development).

The City commenced advertising of the application on 13 June 2016 with the submission period closing on 27 June 2016 in accordance with the requirements of Town Planning Scheme No.23 and the Planning and Development (Local Planning Scheme) Regulations 2015.

In light of the size of the proposed development, the City has been requested to extend the advertising period for a further 2 weeks to allow greater time for the community to review the documentation that accompanies the proposed development and lodge submissions if they feel necessary.

In accordance with the provisions of the City of Bayswater's Town Planning Scheme No. 23 the application can be inspected between 8:30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday up to and including Monday 11 July 2016.
