FAQs
What is considered when developing these traffic management plans?
Why is the City doing this project?
The City is developing a plan in recognition of the concerns of residents in relation to traffic management in the area. Input from residents will guide the development of the plan.
What if I live in a different area that has traffic impacts as a result of the Bayswater Station works?
Whilst this current consultation process focuses on the nominated area, there is still a requirement for those doing the station works (PTA and Evolve Bayswater) to consider any impacts on the local road network and identify solutions to minimise these impacts.
When will the traffic treatments be implemented?
The intent is to get treatments on the ground as soon as possible. The current stage of consultation will be followed by the development of a draft plan. This plan will be ready early in the new year and there will then be another round of consultation on the draft plan. Following this, the plan will be refined and presented to Council for approval. Once approved, installation can commence, which is expected near the end of the current financial year.
What if I don't want any treatments in my street?
Now is your opportunity to let us know. Keep in mind that we need to consider the input from all residents in the area, along with other considerations, when identifying necessary treatments.
