Brickworks Lake treatments
Recent water quality monitoring at Brickworks Lake has identified an increase in algal activity and phosphorus levels.
In response, the City has engaged its specialist lakes management contractor to undertake algaecide and Phoslock treatments at Brickworks Lake.
The treatments are scheduled to commence on Wednesday 2 September and are expected to take 2-3 days.
This treatment forms part of the Maylands Lakes Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement (MERI) Plan.
The City will continue to monitor water quality at Brickworks Lake and provide further updates as required.
