How will the survey responses be used?

    The annual survey will collect feedback on library use and performance, and personal and community benefits experienced by library users. Information gathered will be used to help improve our library service, offerings and facilities, and assist with developing strategies and action plans for the future. Some of the data will also feed into a national dashboard allowing benchmarking against other public libraries across Australia.

     

    Feedback gathered from event or program related surveys will be used to assist the library service to further develop its events and programs offerings, and identify community requests or needs.   This will assist libraries to align its services to meet community needs and expectations. 

     

    Libraries are an extremely important asset to local communities but membership numbers and loan statistics only address a small part of the value of a library to its community. The survey results will enable us to advocate for support and funding that will allow us to provide a library service that continues to meet industry standards guidelines and collection outcomes.

    When will the survey results be available?

    We anticipate survey results will be made available within 4-6 weeks of a survey closing.
