Lake Bungana Reserve - Playground Replacement Update

Consultation has concluded


Every two years the City commissions an independent audit of its playgrounds to update and review a 15 year playground asset replacement plan. The audit advises if playgrounds meet the required Australian Standards and provides a schedule of recommended playground upgrades and replacements based on age, condition and compliance to current standards.

Lake Bungana was identified as a playground that requires replacing and went out to community consultation from 4 April 2016 to 22 June 2016. The community voted for a preferred a mixture of traditional and nature play equipment with sandfall base,

Recently the City has begun the process to replace the current equipment and extend the area of the old playground. The City of Bayswater anticipates the completion of Lake Bungana playground replacement by Friday 3 February 2017.
