The City is asking for community input to develop a new Events Strategy, which will help the City to deliver and attract the best events, activate the right places, and partner with the right organisations to make the City of Bayswater a great place for everyone. The new events strategy will be a five-year guiding document that aligns with the aspirations of the City's Strategic Community Plan 2021 - 2031.
Input from the community and key stakeholders will play a vital part in developing the strategy and guiding the direction for future events across the City.
We are also exploring the interest of community groups and stakeholders to collaborate in activation and events in the City. The City plays an important role in delivering events, but also as a partner, sponsor and facilitator of community-led events and activities across the City of Bayswater.
Community Engagement
The City sought input from the wider community (including residents, businesses and community groups) through the two surveys below. There was also a series of drop-in session at City events to collect community feedback.
What's Next
Using the feedback collected during the engagement phase a draft Events Strategy was completed in October 2023. This will be now be integrated into a high level Social Strategy, aligned with the renewed Community Strategic Plan in 2025. There will be an opportunity to provide feedback on this when it is developed. We expect this to advertised for comment in 2025.
