De Lacy Reserve Floodlight Upgrade Outcome

Consultation has concluded

The City of Bayswater hosted a community workshop on Monday 5 December to discuss and receive feedback on the planned floodlight upgrade at De Lacy Reserve, Maylands. The workshop was attended by 37 residents as well as a number of City of Bayswater Councillors and staff.

The purpose of the workshop was to:

  • Update the community on the exploration in to the Gibbney Reserve option
  • Present the option for replacement of lighting at De Lacy Reserve
  • Understand the community preferences, concerns with this option

OUTCOME

Following this engagement process a report was presented to Council for consideration in January 2017. At the Community, Technical, Finance and Corporate Services Committee, the Committee resolved that Council:

1. Confirms that the current plans for the installation of sports field lighting at De Lacy Reserve will not be progressed.

2. Requests a further report, before the end of May 2017, regarding the proposed installation of sports field lighting at Emberson Reserve North Field following consultation with the community and relevant clubs.
