In the early hours of 3 September 2025, the Morley Markets were significantly impacted by a structure fire that destroyed the 5,000 m² site. This incident marked the first activation of the City’s Local Recovery Plan in more than two decades.
As a valued participant in the City of Bayswater’s recovery efforts following fire, your insights are important to us. We are asking members of the Local Recovery Coordinating Group, key support agency representatives, and key staff members who played a role in the City’s recovery operations to complete a short evaluation survey.
The purpose of this survey is to capture lessons learned, identify strengths, and highlight opportunities to improve the City’s Local Recovery arrangements. Your responses will help inform future planning, enhance coordination processes, and strengthen our collective capability in managing recovery operations.
