    • Noranda Bowls Club on Wednesday 29 November
    • Bayswater Drill Hall on Thursday 30 November

There has been a mix of ideas and thoughts about what building typologies should go where, with some interest in transport corridors, train stations, greening, open spaces, height and density. Check out the image library to see some of the comments.

There are three more Building Bayswater Focus Groups you can attend from 6pm to 8pm:

    • Tonight at Carramar Beechboro
    • Monday 4 December at the City’s Administration Centre

You can also complete the quick polls on emerging trends or read up on the FAQs and upcoming Community Panel where a random selection of community members will deliberate on your ideas and input.

Thanks to Maylands Historical and Peninsula Association for inviting us along to talk Building Bayswater at their meeting on Monday night.

18 members joined us to discuss Building Bayswater, with some of the comments including:

    • It would be great if there were a building of historical importance, that it not be lost if there is development.

    • Lots of buildings around the Anglican Church in Maylands are historically significant but are not Heritage Listed because they can’t afford the high cost of upkeep that comes with that - those buildings shouldbe taken into consideration.

    • Maintain the industrial style but repurpose buildings for residential.

If you would like to come along and participate in a Building Bayswater Focus Group, then check out the list of all the upcoming events.
