Bardon Park Wheelchair Swing

Consultation has concluded

BACKGROUND

At the December 2022 Ordinary Council Meeting, it was resolved in part:

That Council supports the installation of the wheelchair inclusive swing component of the Bardon Park redevelopment project as a stage on its own.

PROJECT UPDATE

Bardon Park play space is now OPEN to the public.

The installation of the City's first wheelchair swing has been successfully completed as part of a broader improvement plan for the play space. This upgrade includes the addition of accessible pathways and a ramp, carpark wheel stops, bollards, a bike rack, a new A-frame swing, an updated basket swing, and rubber soft fall. Additionally, a barrier fence has been built around the wheelchair swing, old equipment has been removed, existing facilities have been relocated, and river sand has been added to the pit.

The improvement plan can be viewed in the Documents section of this page.
