What is proposed to be amended?
It is proposed to amend the City's Town Planning Scheme No. 24 by rezoning Lot 539 and a portion of 211 Swan Bank Road, Maylands from 'Medium to High Density Residential R40' to 'Local Public Open Space'.
The key purpose of this scheme amendment is to:
Provide a zoning over the lots that reflects and maintains the current use of the land as an area of public open space;
Protect and formalise the current use of the land for public open space purposes and ensure development does not intervene; and
Reflect the community’s current perception that the land is zoned for public open space purposes.
