The Safe Routes to School project aims to improve safety for our most vulnerable road users and increase walking, cycling and scooting to school as it is well-recognised that this helps keep our kids healthy and happy.

We are currently in the consultation stage of this project, and the information you provide will help us prioritise the work required over the coming years, to make the network safer and encourage more people to ride or walk to school more often.
At this time no funding has been allocated for its delivery. Please note that the implementation of the required works may need to be done in stages, the timing and scope of which will depend on project priorities, the availability of budget or external funding, and the necessary approvals from relevant government agencies.
