Library Service Strategy

The City of Bayswater wants to know what you think about your libraries. What library services do you use? How satisfied are you? How could the libraries be improved? Even if you don’t currently use the library we would love to hear from you.

The City is reviewing its current library services to inform future strategic direction for library services. The project will be informed by:

  • analysis of the Bayswater community profile and current and potential library use

  • a literature review of contemporary library models and trends

  • desktop research of best practice in public library operations

  • consultation with library users, representatives of the wider community, library and City staff.

Information gathered will inform the development of the City's first Library Services Strategy.

Thank you to everyone who completed the survey and attended the focus groups at our local libraries. All information collected throughout this process is now being analysed. This valuable input will be used to inform the development of the City's first Library Service Strategy.
